[Alliance] Toward Technologies Forms Strategic Partnership with iPasslabs to Advance High-Speed Signal Solutions for Next-Gen IC Testing

11 Aug, 2025 Toward Technologies, Inc.

Toward Technologies, Inc. announced today a strategic investment in iPasslabs, an emerging leader in industry-leading I/O interface testing and validation solutions. This strategic collaboration enhances Toward’s capabilities in delivering advanced signal switching solutions for customers engaged in high-speed IC validation, including AI accelerators, high-bandwidth interfaces, and next-generation computing systems.

“iPasslabs is the bridge that connects signals. Toward is the switch that determines when and how those signals move,” said Ryan, Vice President of Toward. “We first met Eric when iPasslabs had just been founded. Their office was small, but full of energy and ambition. I still remember our first discussion on industry trends. Eric's vision and sharp insights into the high-speed signal market left a strong impression. I thought to myself, this team is going to build something different.”

“Years later, they truly did. They have grown from a small team into Asia’s first and only PCIe Authorized Test Lab, serving global customers developing AI accelerator cards, server systems, and more. In today’s era of exploding demand for speed, iPasslabs has not only moved fast but also moved with purpose and stability. We saw this as a journey worth joining. Our roles are perfectly complementary. They build the bridge and we control the switch. Together we offer a complete path from signal generation to switching control, creating even greater value for customers building and testing the world’s fastest and most complex ICs.”

Founded in 2021, iPasslabs quickly became Asia’s first PCIe-certified test lab and is now recognized as an emerging force in signal interface validation. Its expertise in PCIe and high-speed testing complements Toward’s switching solutions to deliver greater value to customers.

“Toward’s involvement has significantly accelerated our product development and enhanced our readiness in component sourcing,” said Eric Shen, CEO of iPasslabs. “More importantly, we have gained valuable insight from Toward’s experience in global market expansion and from Chairman Philip’s business philosophy. This partnership will play a key role in iPasslabs’ continued growth. We look forward to shared success.”

By combining Toward’s decades of expertise in solid-state, RF, and MEMS switching with iPasslabs’ advanced PCIe and signal validation capabilities, the two companies will streamline test and validation integration across the semiconductor ecosystem. This partnership enables a seamless experience from test board design to signal switching control, enhancing test accuracy, system efficiency, and accelerating time to market for high-performance ICs. Together, these advancements reinforce Toward’s position as a next-generation signal switching leader.
