Customer Challenge: Miniaturization Without Compromise
Keysight Technologies approached Toward with a critical engineering challenge:
How can we shrink our existing SIP reed relay footprint without sacrificing performance or contact reliability?
Their ICT test systems were evolving to support more channels in tighter spaces, and the existing relay package had reached its physical limits.
To achieve their goals, we needed to:
- Prevent magnetic coupling between densely packed reed switches
- Maintain ultra-low and consistent contact resistance across all channels
- Develop a relay design compatible with mass production and long-term stability
Toward's Solution: Custom Vertical Multi-Channel Relay Design
Instead of simply shrinking the existing SIP package, we reinvented the structure entirely.
